    Dammit!! #$@$##%#

well ok, i was jacking up my car trying to get some more clearance so I could get the creeper under my car when my mom comes out and makes me put these damn wheel chucks behind the rear wheels.

well i'm like w/e and just let it go. So i continue to jack the car, and lo and behold, teh car rolled up on the chucks. I bumped the car just a tad and the whole car shifted due to the wheel chucks and fell on the jack stands that were not in place. The jack tipped all the way over and the car moved about 2 feet to the left.

BTW, does anyone know how to get a damn boot on this cv joint? the boot just split and i was trying to replace it when all this happened.

Here's my workspace after the car moved....

The CV joint that needs a boot...

    Drivers side floor panel damage

    Passenger side rocker panel damage...

The car was straight in the garage before it moved, look at it now.... kinda crooked eh?

    that sucks.

as for the cv boot you have to beet off your out cv joint clean it super good.. put some goober grease on your shaft, put your boot on, smack your joint back on put the boot on and strap it down... took me about 30min to get it all finished...then another 2 hours to get it back together..but that's both sides.

looks like you went a little over kill on your steering knuckle. You dont have to take the entire thing off, just take off your lower ball joint, swing the thing out of the way, take off your shock fork bolt and yank the axel out of there...dont forget about the drain pan under your tranny cause it'll leak.

put bricks behind the rear wheels, and put somthing under the front wheels when under teh car, incase if the jacks fail you wont get crushed, or iff no wheels up front, you could place the rims under the carb somwhere

well, I don't work on my car when a jack is holding up the car.... I use jackstands.

    Bricks should work... good idea.

i used to slide my wheels under the rocker panels right behind where id keep the jack stands, but since i got new wheels and what not ive decided to stop doing that. It never had to be tested as a method of saving my life, but it always seemed like a good idea to me.

somebody came in asking for a job, he knew how to do everything already....

so instead of training me like they promised, they decided to fire me and hire him and bail out on me.
