Cheap way to find out what my car could sound like with better speakers...

I am not the type of person to crank my system up really loud, nor did I want to drive around with pounding bass, I just wanted a little extra kick from my stock sound system. The stock Bose speakers sound good, but did not have much low end.

Before I purchased any aftermarket speakers, I wanted to see if it would be worth it.

Using parts I had sitting around my basement, I did the following:

(Inside the speakers are 12 inch subs)

It sounded nice, but used up all my trunk space (and passenger seat), which was not acceptable.

These speakers worked so good I figured I would keep them and use them in my car. I found a older Pioneer car amplifier at a garage sale for $10 that can drive these speakers. The speakers are hooked in parallel (8 Ohms total) which works fine with the old amp. Now I just have to build new enclosures for these speakers so they do not use up my whole trunk.

    WOW.
step 1: wash your car 3 times.
    2) WAX IT
    3) blue magic carpet cleaner, vacum and brush the interioir, user mequiars leather car products for the seats, and meguiars vinal and rubber dash cleaner and protectant. NOT ARMOR ALL. armor al is the worst thing you can put on any part of your car. it actualy does the EXACT opposite--ithurts the material.
4)take out the 1970 Sansui 1000x stable state receiveer and amp...and those god awful speakers which are probably dried and craccked from age alone. remove all your speakers and at least put in some sony xplodes from walmart.

Once I get it all mechanically sound I will fix up the body, and then take better care of it.

Right now if I wash it you will just be able to read the graffiti on the side better.

Because it has silicone in it, and that eats your interior, and leaves a fil over everything, like steering wheel, seats, what ever...slippery shit....
