    YAY! It's IN the shop!

Dropped car off yesterday, after it dried up (cracked distributor cap) Was a breeze all the way out there, kinda got scared it'd over heat...

    HERE'S WHATS GETTING FIXED/REPLACED:
    Headgasket
    Intake and exhaust manifold gaskets
    Valve cover gasket
    Thermostat
    Water pump
    Timing belt
    4 new plugs
    4 new wires
    Distributor cap and rotor
    Oil Change including Filter
    Head's probably gonna need decked
And who knows what else they'll do once they get under the hood...

But after the car gets outta the shop i'll be doing the brakes, and get the sunroof welded shut... and then a paintjob... BUT! I got a new job so i can afford the beast!

    Stay tuned....

it shouldn't be that bad of a job, most of that stuff needs to get replaced anyway when the head comes off.

Re: YAY! It's IN the shop!

nice! i took mine to the shop to get my bearings/brakes checked out, and walked out with a $950 reciept!!

they replaced my rotors, my pads, realigned it, and fucked around with my clutch and ebrake and some other minor things.

i was pretty stunned/pissed at first, but driving it home i felt a lot better
But yeah, i should take it back and make them do what they did to your car to mine!

ya for what the shiping might be on that thing,i would just get a quality aftermarket one. get something like a lund or something. the cheap ass ones aren't worth a crap,if you want a good one you are going to pay for it.
