    Unhappy Tranny problem

First off, I used the search before making this thread, and found nothing close enough to what is going on with my tranny.

Basically, my gears are locked up, as if my clutch isn't even in. When my car is on, I can't get into any gear, save reverse, which pops right back out. I've also tried starting my car in first, and it immediately stalls. Anybody have a clue what this, or what kinda repairs I'd need to get done? Thanks in advance.

Well, it's either your clutch or trans. Pull the tranny, and if the clutch isn't broken, then it's your trans. Drain the tranny oil and look for metal. Any noise in neutral? With clutch in or out?

Absolutely no noise in neutral, with clutch in and out. When I was driving it last night to the store, I had a really hard time getting it into second, and after that I fealt a huge torque loss.

lol, first thing I checked. Would I even be able to start the car if the cable was disconnected? or is there like a button under the pedal saying I have the clutch in? Forgive me for being a nooblette ^ ^

EDIT- I just got back from testdriving a T-Bird (as a daily beeter) and right after I drove it, another guy came up with the cash and bought straight in front of me. What a wonderful day. :P
