    B-Series + 86 Hatch = this thread..(56K NO WAY)

    Required to do this swap
    1. Place Racing Motor Mounts (these have been discontinued, but a forum member built his own mounts) EDIT: Innovative has decided to start making B-swap mounts again. I cannot confirm that these will work with all the parts I have listed here, but it is very likely that they will.
    2. Passenger Axle: 87-89 Acura Integra Passenger Side Axle (A little long, but it works)
    3. Drivers Axle: The center shaft of the axle comes from the passenger side of the 86-89 accord. The ends (parts that connect to the hub, and to the transmission) are from an 88-91 Integra. This axle was put together for me by a professional axle shop, almost any axle repair place should be able to do it for you.
(88LXi68, is running a 3rd generation(88-91) prelude drivers side axle for this application. I have not tried it out myself, but he has been running the PRI mounts much longer then I have)
    4. Place racing custom shift linkage (also discontinued, so good luck). This is an easily fabbed item. All you need is the stock Accord shift Linkage with and integra end (scroll down for comparison pictures).
    5. Custom Engine and Sub harness to convert to OBD-1 (I purchased mine from Rywire )
    6. Factory 86-89 Lx-i Accord Throttle cable (will work with a GSR throttle body bracket, and maybe others.)
    7. You can use a factory 86-89 Accord clutch cable but it is a little long. I recommend using an 87-91 Acura Integra clutch cable, it fits just right in the engine bay.
    8. You must use the rear engine/transmission mount bracket from a 90-93 Integra.

I used the factory 86-89 Accord fuel line, it bolts right on. With the coolant hoses I had to use the upper radiator hose from the Accord with no problems, and the factory B-series lower radiator hose. With the lower hose you will have an issue if you are using the factory Accord radiator. The lower hose has a larger diameter then the Accord hose, Just make sure to use a very sturdy clamp on the hose that you can tighten with a screw driver or ratchet.

I also did a wire tuck to clean up the engine bay a little that can be found here .

Small video of the car in action

Here are the specs on the motor
    1991 B18a bottom end
    Stock pistons bored .20 over
    ARP head and rod bolts
Fully balanced/shot-peened and all parts were coated
New GSR/R Fuel pump and water pump
    Lightened flywheel
GSR head Milled just a little
    Cosmetic thin head gasket
    STR Cam gears
AEBS intake manifold with stock GSR TB
Ebay Megan racing header modified with a 2.5 Collector
2.5" Pipeing all the way back to a vibrent Racing muffler.

Check here to see my suspension setup.

    Installed

Here is the Transmission Side Mount

    With out the engine installed

    Here is the Block mount

    Shift linkage End

Shift Linkage (Factory on top/PRI on the bottem)

Nice job, Did you get ahold of a pair of the placeracing mounts? Or did you custom fab your own?

Hope you figure out the fuel problem.... and hopefully it's not a wiring problem and the fuel injectors are just clogged.

Congrats Legend Master for you car, superb work!!!!!nice N/A sleeper!!!
    Enjoy your new LS/VTEC engine.
I think you are over 190hp with that set-up? with a nice ECU.
Try also to change the LS tranny with a jdm S1 or Y1 tranny.

I think I am close to 190 at the motor, but I wish I was close to that at the wheels. I wanted an S1 or Y1, but they are rare and vary expensive. I got this tranny for $150.00 and the only Y1 I can find is $500.00.

Looks like a lengthy job but I hope you get the injector problem sorted out.

What's the deal with no timing cover?

Well it took me a year or so to collect all the parts an build the motor, but to pull the other engine out and slap this one in it only took 2 days. If I get it running tonight then it will have only taken me a week or so to get it going. I used PLace racing mounts and shift linkage, Rywire engine harness (still under construction), and I used factory integra axles (but I don't know how well they work just yet).
