    Accord Power drop problem?

I have a 87 Lxi with a Kenwood flip-face CD player that likes to shut off randomly. Originally I thought it was the player's fault so I sent it in for repair and bought another in the down time. (I had a rx7 in need of a radio)
Anyways, the new radio came down with the same problem. On top of that, my buddy's 93 accord's radio just started doing shutting on and off like mine.
    Whats going on here?

btw, my alternator and battery are both brand new.

check the tension on the belt for the alt

    new alt means new belt

new belts stretch... loose tention, not always fully spinning the pully.
