    What do ya think about those cheap chips they sell on ebay?

    I was screwing around on ebay the other day looking at chips for my 3gee and of course came across the million and a half cheapo chips they have on there. I was wondering if anyone has actually used one and can tell me anything about them. ONLY IF YOU HAVE PERSONALLY USED ONE!!! I don't want some crackass idiot just sayin, no way man those are crap, when you don't know what the hell you're talkin about.

    *sigh* i'm sure the most they will do it trick the ecu into giving it more fuel lol.

    I don't know all of what they do, but i've been told our ecu's are unmodifiable.

    not only do these work they give you a 458.54 whp increase over stock. But, thats only when used with 3A racing seats and APC banners

    I Think you noobs should use the SEARCH fucntion before you guys post these so called 'performance chips' mods. You guys are not asking anything new, its just the same old crap that has been discussed a long time back... over and over again. so next time, please do us favor and use the search before you post a new thread.

    PS: To answer your question, I think you are better off keeping that money in your pocket.

    well, all that "chip" consists of is a variable resistor. maybe a dollar at radioshack. it even explains how it works. if thta thing really did outperform a JET chip, odn't you think they would put them out of business?

    you don't have to buy a piece of shit to know what it smells like, so don't get all pissy and think that there are enough dumbasses around here that would purchase a $1 pot, $2 of wire, and a $5 project box all soldered together on ebay for what is it, $30? if we wanted to waste that money, we'd get some NOS and mugen stickers for our cars.

    if you want to change that signal properly, you simply MOVE the IAT sensor to the plastic part of the intake piping, about 6 inches from the throttle body. you have to extend the wire about a foot, but at least you don't have your sensor getting heatsoaked and you don't end up running on the lean side because of it.

    No it is not. Each module is programmed to fit the vehicle in the title only. Even though all of our module looks the same we distinguish which application by the part number on the module.

    YOU DID NOT SEARCH. no one wants to be an ass to you. These threads have posts that pertain to your question. As i mentiond to you earlier, you are not asking something that has not been asked before. So next time, spend some time reading thru threads and dont take offence to everything someone has to say to you. You are fairly new here and you are here to learn about 3rd gen accords, so do that. one this is a fact that you are fairly new, and if you are gone, no one will care.

    as per this thread, modifying the input signals from a IAT sensor is not going to give you anything. if you want, set your distributor to full advance and see how your car feels. Stock 3g ECu is not smart enough to compensate for higher flow injectors or any of that gimmicks, unless you got something else to go with it. So basically what we are trying to tell you is that, the mechanics of this product on ebay, does not have anthing to do with the 3g accord injection system to boost your power in anyway.for starters like you, our distributors are not Electronically controlled unlike the 3g preludes.
