    Big vacuum problem

hi everyone, i'm from asia n i just bought a 87 accord n got a BIG problem, i had read alot of postings at this site but not able to find the solution. You see, my accord is fitted with a b18 eng with twin side draft carbs. the eng is running rough n the idle sucks ...the black box is been removed as well (not by me). So, right now i'm trying to find the vac diagram for this eng, mostly i see only single carb diagrams here...anyone have the vac diagram to spare or any website to go to. thkzzzz

My guess is that you live in New Zealand right?

So far, we have very little knowledge of these engines since they were not available in North America. Mosts members here come from the United States.

I have been trying to find a vacuum diagram and information about the B18A engine for ages but still found close to nothing.

My suggestion is that you go to the Honda dealer. They have the shop manual there (well ,they used to for sure). Just get a photocopy of what you need.

    Re: Big vacuum problem

Actually, i'm in Malaysia..we have alot of recon cars here...i think the B18A twin carb is the same as the prelude...anyone got the diagram??? dealers here are not as in other countries...here they just sell cars...not repair them...and the mechanics here mostly do not have access to repair manuals. Only the distributor's workshop have them...and they won't let anyone copy them!!! Another problem arises today..i was fiddling with the car...now the car just idle for a while then kaput...restart again i get the same....the idling is also very rough! I put everything back the way it was but still the same. Anyone got any idea what's the problem can be.

that's still great news. Maybe the cap/rotor/spark plug wires need to be replaced too.
