    Talking $15 hood protector

For only $15 from ebay, I think it looks pretty good.

i always wanted something like that but a lot of people dont like them. i'd think its a great investment to save the paint on the front of the hood from damage. looks good to me. i'd say that'd be best used for when you do like highway driving when stuff is flying at your car.

I used to have a bra on my civic, but it leaves a mark where the edge rubs against the car.

    Just a friendly warning.

    Peace.

accually it ruins your paint......It rubs on the nose of your car from wind, traps water under it when it rains, bad news bears.....seen it hundreds of times.......If you want to protect your nose, go get some of that translucent 3m masking crap that Audis, and bimmers have......

    Re: $15 hood protector

I had one, a full nose mask, on my vw beetle aka the pimpmobile heh heh, anyway, they actually work quite well if you take them off when you wash, make sure to completely dry the hood though. I also took mine off in the winter when it was raining/snowing.

Those small flaps are supposed to go throguh the grille and velcroed to the underside of the hood.

    Re: $15 hood protector

Personally i think it looks really bad. Bra's are for girls, not cars.

Also, its kind worthless after the rubbing and the fade difference.

    Re: $15 hood protector

isnt that kinda what i said? i was thinking its for part time use only not full time. its kinda like wearing a wind breaker jacket, you dont usually wear it all the time. i dunno. i've seen that clear tape stuff. its supposed to like stay nice and clear, not get easily scratched or yellow right? that'd be interesting.

I have the OEM bra for the Accord. I put it when I do long highway trips

But yeah, I think the flaps go through the grille and not under.

I just bought one after reading this. It may mess up the paint eventually but it also covers up all of the chips my car has taken since 1989.

I had a full bra for mine, I looked last time I was home and I could only find the flip up covers and the bumper portion. If I can find the hood part, Ill sell it.
