Well a good indicator as to what the problem is is....
Has the truck been overheated before ??? was it before it used coolant???
What color is the oil????
What color is the exhaust and what does it smell like???/
if its been overheated chances are the head gasket or gaskets......the oil should be anything but milky white...and exhaust should be non existant in any form unless its cold out...burning coolant will show as white vapor and the antifreeze will make it sweet smelling....
also if its the head gasket it will probably run rough and there will be a ton of pressure in the rad after its been running..
