thanks
Wheel adaptors are a big safety risk. You're taking a hell of a chance.
No projects. Life consumes my time and money.
so after adapters, 200$ for old school Audi rims?..
And why are adapters a safety risk?
Anybody with a pulse and eyesight can get excited looking at $250,000 supercars. It takes a special kind of gearhead to drool over an Accord, Sentra, Corolla or anything else made out of parts found in dumpsters, scrap yards, and along the side of the highway.
because they are another thing that can go wrong with your wheels. I've seen wheels come off cars that were using adapters. You now have to keep up with proper torque on two sets of lug nuts, and one set is a pain to get to (so most people rarely bother checking them).
<nod> Thanks, I really didn't know.. I've never thought of using adapters before so.. =).
I don't know of any person who actually uses a torque wrench to make sure the lug nuts are on properly to spec..
heh.

its a safety risk because you put much more stress on the lug studs, which puts more stress on the suspension. youre talking about $40 canadian plus $150+sh, all to put some old rims on that will probably look ugly on the car, not to mention there is a huge chance they wont fit in the wheel well with that big of a spacer. Not worth the time of day. For 120 you can get some pretty nice tires for the honda and not risk/waste your time.
from what i've read you really don't want adapters...Originally Posted by dalinxz

i also torque my lugs.
Man I must hang around ALOT of really ghetto people then.
So the general rule for lug nuts is 80 ft/lb?
