    Did I read it right?

So, let me get this straight.

    I just read this thread:
    https://www.3geez.com/forum/showthread.php?t=90

If I understood right I can use a b18 or b20 engine like those found on late model acuras and even on the CRV. I read in other threads that I will need some engine supports and new axles but that those are also sold by someone already. Transmission is also required but they say I can use a transmission from a civic 4Gen Y1. That means that the transmission of a civic fits a engine of a CRV?
Is that correct or I am smoking green?

If that is the case I just may do a swap. I can get a very low mileage (60K miles) CRV 2000 engine for less than $500 (no kidding). Support for the engine$700, transmission from civic $400, axles $400, other smaller parts $500.

Does it seem realistic? I am tempeted to drive my old accord to a cliff because of the problems with idle and starting. However to get a newer honda with a reliability of a 2000 is going to cost several grand. Now if for $2500 I could get the old accord airborne with 146 HP and 133 lb/ft. Being a newer engine probably very reliable for a long time too. My grand children may learn to drive on that thing.

What do you guys think. Am I missing something?

    Terre.

    You want the "B20A"

    Not a B20A1 or B20A# etc.

    The other B series

B16 and B18 will require fabricated custom mounts and will need new axles.
