Ok, so the fuel inlet is a 5/16" inverted flare.
The fuel line stock, is like a 1/4" hose, right?

well the stock fuel line size is about the same as the holley/weber, much larger then the 1/4". It only went to 1/4 on our stock carb, between the filter and the carb.
once you remove the stock carb, no need to go back to 1/4", well assuming you've replaced the stock filter with something better.
