the rear of my car has a sqeeking sound whenever i go over a bump or get in or.... well do anything that makes the car move up and down... i have heard that this can be caused by the ball joints...
is that true? or is it springs/struts? how can i stop this sound... i will be replacing the struts soon...

I actually have the same problem, and the shop told me a while back that my rear joints needed replacing. Hrm. Something to look into now.

Do you have like 17" rims, because I do and when I go over a bump the back tires rub against the fender. creating a squeek.

when I used to have the wrong offset rims and my rear tires would rub, it sure didn't sound like a squeek. I don't know how to discribe it.
