I Need Help With Cruise Control

I did a 2nd generation prelude manual transmission swap into my automatic 89 lxi. NOw my cruise will not work. I have tried anything I can think of to make it work and I have had no luck. Has anybody out there been able to make their cruise work after the transmission swap? DO I need to go get more parts off the Prelude or am I forever screwed out of having cruise. I have found a few accords with manual transmissions and cruise but mostly from carb engines. I don't know what to do. Someone help me or put me out of my misery.

There is a cable that goes from the spedo thru the firewall and into the tranny. Did you put the cable back into the tranny?
