Does anybody know what models and/or years have the chrome trim around the whole grill opening in the hood not just the top??
Are they interchangable among different models and years??
If you don't know, just post what year/model your car is and if it has a chrome trimmed grill opening or not.
I'll get things started. Mine is an 89 lxi and doesn't have the chrome trim.

I've got an 89 and it has the strip at the top. I believe the 86-87's have the chrome the whole way around. They are also are flush with the hood.
No projects. Life consumes my time and money.
86,87 had the chrome all around, 88,89 had chrome only on the top.

Then whoever had it before you, either liked the chrome all the way around better, broke the original one somehow, or it was wrecked.

aren't the 88-89 ones connected to the little triangles on the side tat match the eyebrows on the headlights?
cause the 86-87 ones are not

Yeah, they interchange, but the eyebrows won't match anymore; 88-89's have lines in them, 86-87's don't. If you are painting them, it won't matter then.
