No Cruise Control in cold weather

When the outside temp is below about 25 degrees F my cruise control won't work. The indicator light comes on when I set the speed, but there is no cruise control. I've read about other switches on the dash that get fine cracks in their solders and am wondering if that is the case with the cruise?
    Anyone else have this problem?

I'll look at the manual to see how that could happen and if there's a fix. have no experience with cruise control... thanks for the tip.

Same thing happened with my rear window, when it was hot out, it worked, when it wasn't it didn't. My guess was loose connection somewhere. But I sold the car and didn't really look into it.

Mine seems to not work, but when it's cold out you basically need to do this... have your foot set at whatever speed you want, then hit set, and don't move your foot for a few minutes. EVENTUALLY, the cruise will slowly kick in. Try it.

It gives it time for the cruise to kick in.
