Oil Coming Out Through Valve Cover!?!?!?
after i installed my b16 IM my car started running like shit, i fix a lot of the problems but now its smoking really really bad!! theres oil coming out through the exhaust?!? the engine sounds good. and theres oil coming out through the valve cover breather?!?! i need help ASAP this is my daily driver guys.

sounds like your car has too much oil pressure the problem is not too much compression; rather the oil pump pressure relief valve is probably stuck causing extremely high oil pressure you may try replacing the oil pump it could also bepartially spun bearing or a blocked or partially blocked oil passage
Get a new valve cover gasket too, or else the leak will never stop.

well its not leaking from the valve cover, theres just oil coming out of the valve cover breather and i think its going back in through the intake i think thats whats causing it to smoke???
Did you replace the hose that goes to the manifold from the pvc valve and valve?

Is your PCV good?
You should clean out the top of your valve cover... there is a baffle in there with holes and such... if it's clogged oil that gets up there will have a hard time draining back down, so then it gets sucked up into the intake.
Use some engine degreaser maybe... then rinse all the chemicals out before reinstalling the Valve cover.

ok i fixed the oil problem, it stopped doing it yesterday when i got back home
now i need to fix my idle problem, i dont have the fast idle valve sensor thing connected could that be the problem??
right now its throwing a code 10, which is the IAT? i dont have that connected. and i think for the IACV you said i can put as 10k resistor from radioshack on it right??

I have a similar problem where A LOT of gray smoke is coming out
of the exhaust.. I thought perhaps there was too much oil and that the excess was running into the exhaust manifold and then out through the tail pipe. I drained some oil to put it at a relatively low level yet it's still smoking and coming out of the exhaust.. With no progress, I seeked some advice from 2 mechanics and both indicated that my motor is finished and the only way to fix it is to get a new motor.... Anyone agree or disagree ..?.. any feedback is great .. thanx
