    switching gauge clusters

id like to know if its possible to switch from an 86-87 gauge cluster to an 88-89 gauge cluster by changing the harness that it would plug into. ive pulled an entire harness that plugs into the cluster and the push button heater controls and such before, and id like to know if i can put an 88-89 harness and cluster in an 86 accord(i heard the clusters arent interchangable, and id ike to have push buttons, so if its a yes, then id be going back to the junkyard.)

It all plugs right in. I have installed an 88-89 cluster in my 86.
    Direct swap.

interesting... my old mechanics teacher told me they wont plug right in mainly cause the plugs are different.

anyways, does anybody know if the heater harness is plug and play between the push button and the sliders?

it should plug in with no problems. I have 88-89 gauges on my 86 accord. Everything should plug in with no problem.
