    External part replacement

I had a bit of a finder bender in my 89 LX-i. I'm trying to find out if I can replace my front bumper, fender, headlight, and turn signals with parts from a non LX-i/SE-i (ie from a hatch/4door)

I'm having problems finding all the parts and it would be so much easyer if the parts could be interchanged.

    thanks,
    josh

Only things that will not work are the turn signals in the bumper. The 86 and 87 ones will not work in the 88-89 bumpers and visa versa.

I guess if you get the whole cover with the lights it would work ok, right?

If I get an 87 bumper, would I need to buy 87 turn signals?

yes, you'd need those and to convert the connectors.
i did the swap, but vise versa and kept both connectors on so i can use both front ends.

My suggestion to you is to just go to the junkyard and find good donor parts from an 88-89. But all the headlight buckets and fenders will work
