i never heard about actually modifying the tranny case to keep the 5th gear lubricated.
I never had this problem in my accords. all you have to do is jack the passenger side and you can fit extra .5 quarts of oil into the tranny.

Do the Teg trans mod and use the Teg case. Or drill the two oil holes out to about 5/8 or 3/4. If you have the two cases side by side its easy to see the difference. I wish I had taked pics when I did mine.

Yeah, i have heard the teg cases oil holes are bigger and thats preventing tegs from burning 5th up. I wonder if thats the only difference oil wise?

Afaik that is the only diference, just the oil passages. There is actually an indent on the accord case where the hole needs to be drilled. You have to remove the case to do the drilling so its a very involved process. You can't just pop the 5th gear cover off and drill it on the car. Prelude cases also have the extra oil passages, I have no idea why the accords don't. I've got an old accord and prelude case burried somewhere in the garage still I think. I'll have to dig them out and take some pictures.

This is quite interesting. I didn't think that we had a serious oil starvation problem.

I remember a post about how to drill the hole, but I cannot find it now...

I should probably drill the holes while I have my transmission apart. I can take pictures this weekend and post them.

I will try to remember to pull the cover off and take a picture from the other side this next weekend.
