    Question Aftermarket B18C

Ok, how is the aftermarket support on the B18C? I think it was night that said that whatever fits the b16(which i know has a lot of aftermarket shit)will fit the b18, as far as headers, intake ect ect.., goes. And could someone leave a couple of links or something?

    Thanks,
    Dallas

    The B18C1 is a stroked B16

The head is a bit different tough but everything fits except the manifolds

The B18C5 is really a stroked B16 with performance parts

so out of the two, which would be the better option for say, a swap into a 86 accord LXi?
Better means both, good with the money and horses (and fits). If you know of anyplaces to pick built ones up (grrr, junkyards....) or would it be better to buy the parts separate and build it up yourself?

Any one know any places to pick up new clutches? (random thought)

If hood clearence is a problem, well, it isn't, I like cutting holes and welding and molding and pounding and pounding and poun-
sorry, got a little carried away.....

a B18C is expensive as hell. then there is the ITR. way to much money.
you best bet really is to get a bone stock B20Z and drop it in. then you can mod it a little at a time.
i just dont think its worth settling for a B16.

as far as an engine goes..
one thats most practical, and you can get the most bang for the buck...and has TONS of aftermarket support...

go with the plain ol classic b16....
it may not be a v-tec engine, but hey, it's got lots of potential, and they are easy to come by...
and not all that hard to swap in.....

for time and money, they are more worth it..

I was quoted on a b16 swap, everything included for $3500-4000 cdn..

    thats pretty good...

but ultimately i want a b18c5...that would be the ultimate sleeper..:super:

    motor swaps

the after market support is great for them but if you really wanna go fast get an B18B LS/VTEC conversion and get some vtec cams and pistons and you will actually get more hp at the wheels with one of them than you would with a B18C1 or B18C5, cuz you really are just paying an extra $3,000-$4,000 just for the name

If memory serves, the 2nd gen Integras have non-VTEC b18s...

The b18a and b18b are the early Integra engines I think. The b18c1 is the GS-R and the c5 is Type R

Only the JDM Integras of that year got B16s. Your friend's 1990 LS has a B18A1 unless he did a swap.

I was told by a few people that the USDM 2nd gen integra's has a B16, a guy named Ricky thats on Team eXo, I talk with him alot since our cars are almost Identical and he has a 1st gen integra rs and he said it has a B16 in it, he wanted to do a swap but I told him he shoudldn't with all the aftermarket support, so is this true about the B18 just being a bored out B16 with performance parts? if so fuck that. I'll grab me a B20Z lol

b16 and b18 bores are the same.

    the 92-93 GSR's are B17's. the JDM's had B16's.
no US teg has ever had a B16.
