got enough yellow cars there? u might wanna park like another 89895895 of them there aswell

God knows what kids put on their windshields.. But anyway, the sticker alone should probably be good for about 47,3hp lolOriginally Posted by speedpenguin
Wow, that nice yellow 3rd gen. Its right hand drive and Spoon so might be JDM... no. The bumper is early type so it must be UKDM unless they swaped the bumper. The fixed head light model was introduced to Japanese market in 1987 and from the beginning, it has later type bumper. UKDM model also have B20A which is called 16V or something but it came with very nice rear spoiler and head light washer/wiper. Injection model has head light wiper, too. This yellow one doesn't have either of them so my guess is that it has fully modified A20A2 carb engine unless the owner swapped to something else.
I am very interested in if this car has any Spoon parts. The Spoon started their business in 1988 so I am not sure if they made any parts for our car (except brake caliper and that sort of parts appropriation from other car). If they have, I want it!

hey a little off sub but there is a 3g that i'm thinking about buying for parts and it has the same bumper what is the deal with it and what is it off of?
the parts car is in lufkin tx. it has drum brakes in rear and is fuel injected.4dr auto

Even though they came out in 1988, they had to have parts ready to come out with. Thus, It's more than likely that there were parts developed for it.
I'm choosing to believe it's got Spoon parts, since I'll never actually see it anyway, and it's nice to dream.
Sounds like your basic run-of-the-mill LX-i to me. I don't think there's anything special about the bumper.Originally Posted by Baveara

I agree - it is more likely that the owner removed everything he could and B20A is more likely than A20A.Originally Posted by speedpenguin
I was a student in Japan when the Spoon came into tuning market back in late 80s as tiny shop in Tokyo. At that time, unfortunately our car was not very popular for tuning/modificaiton scene there - drifters in mountain road or go-fast on motorway. Most of the people prefer Toyota AE86 collora or KP61 Starlet which I had and Supra. For Nissan B310 Sunny, Skyline, Fairlady Z and Silvia, plus RX-7, Lancer turbo or Galant. Most of the base car was FR and FF was not popular at all. So chosing FF for tuning it self was unique and challaging at that time. For honda, definately Civic, CRX and NSX if you have money. Even Integra was not regarded as material until Honda developed Type-R later on.
Spoon came into market as modified ECU and sus kit sepecifically for Civic if I remember right. Oh yeah, they have started selling clear marker as 'European Marker' in 90 or so and I am sure they have one for our car. But otherwise, Spoon is nothing to do with our car cos simply they are in different market - Mugen and Motor Life Systems made range of parts for our car from the beginning but not Spoon, as far as I know. Thus I am still doubtful but on the other side, I am expecting to find out big surprise, too! Maybe Spoon build VTEC B20A!?![]()
holy crap that is sweet mmm if they have the suspension parts i want to find it man that is badd azzz i cant belive u guys found this man oh man im so shocked but i thought spoon cars had blue front washed into yellow but i love it i think someone should try to replicate it

These cars just look like Spoon but aren't real Spoon sports cars.
Even the Civic has Mugen MF10 wheels...Weird for a Spoon car lol
And Spoon never made an Accord model (to my knowledge, but I can make mistake).
Anyway, nice cars here![]()
