how much money do you have? the more money you have, the bigger then engine you can stuff in there. if you mean mounting on the stock locations, then you're limited to a bored out a20 or bored out b20. that'll probably be a 2.2 after boring. and before he gets flamed badly for not using the search button, someone should move this to engine swaps and lock it.

You are better of asking that question to Mr. Search Button. He will let you know in a second a bunch of answers in relation to your question. If he seems futile, then ask us.

Is there a K24 or is that not a honda motor?

Anyways not much stock motors in the 2.2 range. I think there is an F22, F23, H22, H23. Anyone know the displacement of the 5 Cylinder Vigor Motor?

And none of those motors are a direct swap, so you need you car to be down while you or someone else works out the fabrications of new motor mounts and fitting axles and just fitting the engine. Then you need all the wiring, etc. for the motor, and a way to operate the transmission properly from inside the car.

yeah, k24 comes in the new accord, crv, and tsx. good motor, especially if you frankenstein it with an itr head. 250+ hp easily with basic bolt-ons. and it has some resemblance of torque as well. but putting one of those in would be a headache. not impossible, but a headache for sure.

The JDM had a G20 five cylinder that was just a variation of our G25 (2.5L) in the USDM Vigor. That engine won't fit in anything but a Vigor, 2.5TL, or maybe a 2G Legend or RL. It's too fricken long and would hang out the front of the engine bay. The K24 also comes in the Element, but the Honda versions all come with the lame head with VTEC only on the Intake side. The RSX-S (or ITR), TSX and new Civic Si are the only K Series with the full on Performance head with VTEC on intake AND exhaust. Really great engine design, but yeah, it's gonna be a huge pain to install. The K24 from a TSX that we installed in an RSX-S was a major ordeal, and it *almost* bolted in.

boring an a20 will not get u 2.2L rofl

i have a .050 bored A20, which is the largest bore i have ever heard of, and that gets me from 1955cc to 2047cc (almost what auto mfg would call 2.1L)

you would need .100 overbore to even get close. which would be bigger than 85mm pistons. and good luck trying to increase our already massive 91mm stroke.

Oh so the vigor motor is turned 90 degrees in the engine bay? I had thought it sat the same as the 4cyl but just be a little longer.

Naw, the 5 cylinder sit longitudinally like a truck engine. Same as the older V6 Legends.
