its the screw on top of the throttle body next to a vacuum line, it's kinda inbeded.

yeah dude you have a mesh little red hose going into your throttle body right on top. just underneath that is a large (1/2") pan head screw with standard slot in it. just take a screwdriver and tighten to lower idle, and loosen to raise idle.

lol have fun dude! ps: yo!

you are not supposed to adjust the fast idle valve. if its an erratic idle under warm up, just swap it.

yeah but you CAN adjust it, and its an easy way to fix a crazy warmup idle. heh. what is the reason for not adjusting it, just out of curiousity.

This should explain why adjusting it is not the fix for the problem. It may be a temporary method of getting by, but it is not a fix.

Also, anyone interested, there's an auction for a fast idle valve on ebay. I just bought me a new one from the dealer for 80 bucks or I would be bidding.

I have adjusted my fast idle valve with good results but you can mess the seal up inside is why it doesnt usually work. You can spray some lube down it let it soak then turn it with a quarter or what you have. Of course it only adjust the FAST idle when the car is cold. Just to state the obvious.

If your warm idle is erratic and you have a code 12 ,which i think is EGR, the screw in the throttle body may not get it fixed. Also make sure your throttle cable itself is adjusted per the book it needs slack at idle.
