putting in the new pump and cooler

ok for the last two days i've been trying to get this stupid power steering pump and cooler in. it's decided to go from drought season to monsoon season. work a bit, dodge lightning, work a bit get soaked. still not in so far the cooler is in and the pump is installed. here are a few pictures. ya ya I know my camera sucks.

I had to remove the grill I made for now,I need to put a spacer in it to move it about an inch outwards.

I thought the power steering assist in the 3g was more then sufficient.... what advantage does this have?

um it's a factory pump,I just had to change the cooler because the factory one won't fit with the body mods to the car. actually my grill won't fit with this one eithier but i can make some minor mods to it and make it fit. the pump lines are just insulated is all, keeps heat from the radiator and engine out of the pump circuit. thats a much more efficient cooler then factory. I plan on doing some autocross someday and thats just an advantage to keeeping the fluid cooler. I've just been having to deal with this all day

why not install it towards the back of the car underneath? if you run steel line under the car, that gives off heat as the fluid goes through it. the air traveling under the car will cool the cooler off. I was going to install this one on the front cross member but it was a little too long. thats was after i took the battery and tray, plus all the supports out. I had to move this cooler about 10 times before it fit, then i was missing fittings etc. it is finally done though, I still have to take the bumper back off later to put my aluminum grill back in.
