    Wire Tucking is the Sex

I decided to start cleaning up my engine bay and I also wanted to try wire tucking. I did a few other things to clean up as well (Short ram intake, Integra clutch cable(shorter then the Accord one), modified the catch can, ETC...). This would definitely work with the stock engine and would look quite clean if you ask me.

    Whats Required
    1. Tools to remove the fender
    2. Soldering Gun (you could use electrical tape, but that would be dumb)
    3. The connections for the end of the wire you plan to extend (explained Further in the thread)
    4. Enough wire to extend them where you want

I started by cutting both ends of a the wire I wanted to extend at the junk yard.

I wired them backwards to each other with enough wire between them to extend them to the necessary length (most people just cut the harness in the car and extend it, but I did not want to do it that way)

I ran the wires through the fender. The wires for all the lighting were mounted in the bumper housing.

Here is a before and after shot

    Before

    After

I will be doing the passenger side next week. Enjoy

Yea me to, some of those people on H-T do some serious wire tucking. They shave all the holes that they don't use anymore and hide everything.

In all reality the job is not that hard all you need is wire, soldering iron, electrical tape, wire loom, and some time. If anybody wants to embark I will help them as much as I can.

That looks beautiful! First wire tuck I've ever seen in a 3G. We'll probably be seeing more now.

Of course I'm lazy. If I wanted to work on my car I'd have gotten a DSM

Nice work! Fiddling with wires is fun So are you going to hide away the fuse box too?

I am contiplating it, but I am not to sure that is what I want to do. I dont have any AC parts in my car, so there would be plenty of room to hide it under my passenger side dash.

Thanks, it probaly looks like the inside of a computer under your hood, LOL. With enough electrical tape and your could get it to fit in the fenders, no problem. Let me know if you need any help with it.

I think that looks good, and is a damn good wire tuck... but don't move the fuse box... IMO, thats just dumb and a waste of time. I personally would want mine easily accesable, besides which I dont think we have much room behind our dash's for a fuse box to fit.,

    Great work.
    It looks so clean !
    I'm being jealous !
I've always loved this clean look when the wires are hidden. It seems there is a lot more space in the engine bay .
