Alright, this has bugged me from the beginning of this thread. wrxdriver99...you never drove a 1999 wrx?...

Umm yeah lol. First gear is getting noisy on me. That was after this weekend's autocross, I was running 1st gear pretty hard through the slalom they had set up right after the launch gate. That and hammering the axle into the transmission probably didn't help...

Oh yeah I did a reverse 180 in my car some time ago and missed the shift, grinding it really hard. Thats probably why it's so noisy now. I'm very hard on transmissions, I gotta hand it to this one though, it's lasted me 130,000 miles of beating since I've bought it. I figure this car is lasting me so long because a nun owned it before me, so it's blessed.

But the transmission still feels nice and smooth and drives fine... We'll see how long that lasts...

They never had the Wrx here in Canada till 2001 model year.....
The wrx was my dream car ever since the I first drove the Imprezza 2.5 rs in 99 I have wanted one ever since. Imprezza P1, Wrx STi, SVX, Legacy turbo and Brat were always on my hit list, but I've either not qualified, They don't make it here, Havn't found one in goood shape, been sold out, been out sold, or in the case of the Rex, I've tried to buy one three separate times, but the dealers out here seem to think they are high end or something and won't let me buy one. So I continue to wait and now my priorities have changed and I want a Titan.
Oh and the 99 is a tribute to a great Canadian Icon, Wayne Gretzky

Hmm ive owned very few cars but within the next few years i plan on owning a shitload of them lol. Im going to tech school for auto technition so i can buy cars and fixed them myself and save tons on labor fees

1. 1978 Datsun 280z 5speed loved the car but i totaled
2. 1991 Honda accord dx auto. Car was incredibly realiable and i got with over 220k miles and punished it every day. Sold. I still see it every once in a while i bet its got over 250k...
3. 1989 Honda accord lxi 5speed. Its also my current car.

A friend of mine (actually the guy I bought my Accord from) has honestly owned at least 40-50 different cars in his life, and he's only 25. No BS, seriously. Not surprisingly, not many have been good cars. He's had just about all makes pretty much except the Korean brands. Pickups, vans, cars, whatever. I guess it's the philosophy of "buy a car for $500 and run it until it dies, then get something else."
Here's my short list:
1. 1976 Olds Cutlass (350 - still have, still runs, but parked because of gas prices - future resto project)
2. 1989 Ford Crown Vic (grandpa car, but it had decent balls)
3. 1995 Mercury Tracer (dead slow, but great handling - gave car to my brother)
4. 1999 Toyota Camry (4 banger auto, slow but reliable, current)
