These are original glasspacks that are not bullet shaped, found them at a independant parts house here that does mostley internet sales for obsolete parts, and antique cars. These mufflers are streight thru yet have these chambered pieces in them like a supertrapp sort of. I got one that was about three feet long but it does not fit tight enough for me, I have to change somethings.but cranking it up with header and six inch down;pipe just to see what it soundedlike., it was definately not fart cannon , it sounded pretty stock with a growl kinda like real flowmasters. These mufflers are not made anymore of course but I wiill keep you all posted how it works out. I tryed the car with a tube glasspack just like the same set up, and it was fartysound, ricer you know the sound , but this one was nothing like that. The store guys, who I have known for years said these geezer car buffs from the sixtys have been looking for these all over and cant find them, so there must be something to them, they remind me of what they used to call smittys.

yeah I saw those patriots in summit book, they are about the same, these guys have all sizes and lengths , and several id od sizes, I have to say this one sounds like NO rice or poot at all even with header, I have to do so fabing and get the tail;pipe on and see, I thought I may need more muff but this may do just like it is.

Not exactly, purple hornys look just like cherry bombs, you might try a google or dogpile search and see if the purples have the disc baffles in them like these do.

Sorry for revive a dead thread. i got paid today but anyways i got some parts a cheapo air filter which made a huge difference anyways.

I got a cherry bomb it was $20 i could'nt resist i could'nt resist but unfortunatley i can't test it out. but I can look right through them which i'm assuming is bad and it is gonna be a fart box.

the box mentions arvin replacement products, - maremont.com

oh p.s. i went to a muffler shop and he told me that 2..25 is too big for my car i'm like because the headers all come in 2..25 but w.e .

They won't even make me a 1.75 Flange and connects to a 2" straight pipe so i can test 2" inch mufflers. That's F&#*^*^#* it. I'm getting a welder.

sorry i'm just pissed cause no shop wants to weld me a simple little piece.
