    Denso Irridium Plugs

I bought a set of these a little while ago to see if its one of the causes of my current problem.. But anyway

I was wondering if anyone uses these, and if they are worth the money i payed for them.. (56$!)

I want to install them but i cant take them back if i install them, lol... So i'm afraid to..

Are these better or equal to the NGK Irridiums?
Alas, no more 3gee. She was a wonderful car and will be missed..

No more 92 hatch either! I go through cars too much.

ive bought two sets already and was satisfied with the results. Yeah they are pricey but imo worth it. never tried the other brand so i cant say. There really is now way i can say i gained power but it did pick up faster and smoother especially at the higher end. i say try it u wont be disapointed and if u are then you know next time to go another route but i suggest u install them.

give them back and get the stock ones with one level colder. If you are boosting, then yeah get the iridium, but other than that, a stock one will be fine.

    i'm with praveen.

another reason is in case your spark plugs ever become a problem, you'll be hesitant to repalce them because they cost so much. stock plugs cost like $1.80, so you won't feel bad about tossing an old set out to see if they are causing your problem.

again, unless you have the fuel, compression, and rev capacity to take advantage of an upgraded ignition system, you're making fractional increases. the only thing i've noticed when installing a blaster coil was a smoother idle on a worn out coil. absolutely no difference with either the butt dyno or a g-tech.

MOney is well spent on things that make a positive diffrence, not on psychological satisfaction.

i'd argue people only spend money for the psychological satisfaction

    Re: Denso Irridium Plugs

this is true. Buy NGK V-Powers. they are cheap, and they did the same thing that any other new plug would do. I say take back the Iridiums and save yourself 50 bucks

i reccomend against using platinum or irridium or any trick plug (2943833 electrode plugs) stick to traditional NGK copper resistor plugs ESPECIALLY when boosting, in the reccomended heat range.

    Re: Denso Irridium Plugs

ima quote some old guy i heard on comedy central he "fear is temporary regret is permanent" what im tryin to say is u bought the plugs and feel bad for spendin 56 bucks and are debating wether they were justified. i went thru the same thing until i installed them and was not dissapointed. The reason i bought them in the first place was to find out if they were worth the 50 bucks(as im sure u did 2). I did the same thing with royal purple racing oil and found out that it wasnt worth the 50. Sure it was a noob thing to do but i learned and now i know. the differance wont be stellar so you just gotta ask urself, do i want to risk wastin 50 bucks and use the plugs or do i want to regret not installin them later. I made my decision(may not have been a smart 1) but hell if youre strapped for cash now return them and if u feel like it buy them down the road wen u got some to burn . post ur decision wen uv decided.....join me.....come to the dark side. bwahahahaha!!!

    Re: Denso Irridium Plugs

as the more experienced members who know what they're talking about have said, take them back and spend the $50 on something like an ebay cai that'll actually help your car. unless you have some reasonably extensive modding, those plugs will not help your car one bit. they probably won't last any longer than the regular stock plugs either.

    $56 for plugs!?!?

    $50 for Royal Purple?!?!

I don't know where you guys are shopping, but I never spend more than 20 bucks on some royal purple for my car. And I've seen the Denso Iridiums for about 8 bucks a piece here.
