    Question Flipped air lid!!!!

    i need help... i flipped my air lid and removed the grommetts and screwed the thing back on right.... well... i shut my hood and started my car.... BAD IDEA! the rattling was so loud it coulda killed a small child!... so yeah needless to say my airlid is stock. so what should i do? i personaly would like to try this mod however i cant with that rattling.... what should i do? i need help!... thanks guys

    what rattling???

    all mine sounds like is a little louder.. like i can hear the carb suckin in the air.. sounds like an intake

    the top of the lid smacks against the bottom of the hood.. that rattling!... i dont know what to do about it

    hmm... thats strange mine never touched...

    stick the grommets back on with the lid flipped.. squish the filter a bit if you have too and tighten the wingnuts back down. put the grommets on the flipped lid the way they would normally be on the non-flipped lid.

    personally IMO this "mod" has more risks than benifits.

    get a custom intake, or a k&N(w/flipped lid)

    yes i know what do you mean.
    Its is like a bubble sound???
    If so you can disconnected your Air suction valve. I disconnected mine because its was making so much noise!!!

    what kind airfilter are you using? may be the filter is too tall. i never had a problem with it.
    try comparing the filter with someother brand names filters.

    NAPA filters run tall, try a Fram filter or bend the edges of the aircleaner lid..
