In due time my friend... going back to school does however suck for financing a swap.

LOL I am just messing with you. It took me 1 1/2 years from the point I bought the mounts to the point I put the motor in (but I bought the mounts before I even owned the car )

they don't since their engine is on tilt toward the firewall and ours is away. but they may be moddable to fit our cars.

yeah this will benift ppl that have fuel injection already....not alot of ppl have Lx-i's or Se-i's since most ppl in the late 80's just wanted something cheap...so we have more Dx's and Lx's....i was thinking about it and i came up that its cheaper to buy a LX-i then to try to convert your carb to fuel injection...i knoe some ppl here have done it but they are good with cars(or a manual book) i think a built A20 would put out a decent amount of power maybe 150hp? plus like some ppl say you can find a A20 almost in every junkyard...

talk to rjudgey about the power potential of the a20. i think he got 180 or is planning to get 180 out of one of his. i don't remember if it's carb or not, though. 150 isn't that hard to reach, especially if you convert to obd-1. full intake + exhaust (cai, b16 im, and port-back exhaust) should get you near that amount. then by time you do a valve job (maybe get bigger ones while you're at it), get some cams, and bore it out, you could probably coax 170 or so out of it and still have it streetable. that's a pretty good amount of power in a car weighing in at less than the em1. (if you have an lx-i sedan or a hatch. i can't remember how heavy the coupes are.)

yeah, i know about cali smog because i live here too. smog would be a huge bitch. that's why you keep all the stock parts or just a stock engine to swap in every two years to go get it smogged. could be a better idea than it sounds because when you have it out, you can do some maintenance work on the performance engine. or you find a shop that will conduct a smog test how it really should be done: they test what comes out your tailpipe and overlook everything else.
and i saw that car. i would get it if i didn't have too many cars already.
