that inspire of that year and body was what the acura vigor 5 cylinder was here in the US. nothing too special, but i think they were not that well built compared to accords. as for the renault clio, not all are V6. the 4 cylinders are fwd and 4 seaters. i had looked at what it would take to get one, about $43000 for the clio V6 imported to US. just a thought, almost every vigor i've seen has run like shit.

umm i think the 5cyl vigor is a different (later) model than the one exactly like the 3gee so i highly doubt that the 5cyl will fit in a accord. and arnt they RWD or something? i remember seeing a honda on trademe like the inspire and vigor and it was a RWD

no the 5cylinder is still FWD but the engine is mounted like a RWD

you mean GM made 5 cylinders back in the 80's? i cant find anything on that or remember any engines of that type except for recently in the trucks. i know mercedes, volvo, vw, and a few other companies made 5 cylinders from the late 70's to the mid 90's.

Vigor is G20 and G25 motor if im not mistaken. Its an Odd engine with an Odd Crankshaft. From what i heard, its cut the same fashion as the V10s, but dont quote me on that. here is a cut away.

The Acura Vigor was made in model years, 1992, 1993, and 1994 and built in Japan. The Vigor used a 2.5L, inline 5 cylinder, SOHC, 20 valve, MPFI engine creating 176 horsepower @ 6300 RPM and 170 ft. lb. of torque at 3900 RPM with it's front wheel drive setup. It came standard with a 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive and had an optional 5 speed transmission.

The Vigor eventually went on to be the next generation Acura TL (Honda Inspire in Japan).
