    Koni yellow (pics inside)

I sent my koni reds in to koni to be revalved, made externally adjustable and shortened. Well to my surprise when they returned they were no longer red but yellow. I had also inquired about making them full bodied coilovers but they were supposed to get back to me before they shipped to see if they could make em and they never did.

Anyway Ive driven on them for almost two years now and revalved and set to full soft they feel like the reds at 1/2 to 3/4 full dampening.

The shortening helped alot on the front end because I no longer hit the bumpstops and have to worry about blowing them.

Here are a couple of pics.

probably just repainted I didnt notice if they changed the stamped part number on the shocks themselves.

And yes they are externally adjustable. I hav ethe noce little white knob to adjust them.

It was rather pricey to have them revalved, shortened, and made externally adjustable for all four.

I think I paid close to 900. I dont remember exactly Id have to look at the receipt but that price range is about right.

If you call koni they will quote you on depanding what services you want.

I think I inquired about making them both adjustable for compression as well as rebound and it was like 2 grand.

i imagine since he wanted them shortened they just sent him a different damper modified to fit a 3gee

no the are the sames ones I sent in. They just modified them. I guess if they did make koni yellows for the 3rd gen accord they would be just what I askedd for. Which is externally adjustable ad valved a little heavier.

i'll say the same as guaynabo. Koni don't have produced Yellow for 3rd gen. They are just repainted. If they did a lot of work on the Red and the paint was too much damaged, they just repainted 'em to give a fresh product.

    Re: Koni yellow (pics inside)

they stopped making the koni reds for us a couple of years ago. They never did offer the koni yellows for the third gen accord.

The koni yellows are a step up from the reds in valving. So since I had mine revalved they basicly upgraded to the yellow specs and hence painted yellow.
At least this is what I think.

I sent in my struts about 2 years ago I'm just a little late on posting about it.

By the way it rocks not having to take your struts appart to adjust them.

For me it was worth it for the simple fact that Im dropped 2.25 inches which the fact they were shortened helps with dampimg. The fact they were revalved stiffer cause even when I had them at full stiff before it still felt a little loose.

PLus the externally adjustable is definately worth it to me cause now I can set it up the way I want without taking the damn things apart.

I just wished they would have looked into making them full bodied coilovers.

    Hey, thats nice ones.
I have been thinking to make them external adjustables, too.
When I quote the price here in UK, it was like $600 for 4 without shortening.
I didn't realise that they would paint in yellow though.
    Mmmm, thanks for head up.
