    Titanium Rods

Have a look here under Rods Eagle have some titanium rods listed for B18A/B for Integra non vtec are these the same ones were using on our A20 blocks with the 21mm modified piston pins from Diamond pistons??

    http://www.importperformanceparts.net/

If so that price is seriously attractive in U.K titanium rods are like £1500 pounds a set custom made if this is right it will be half that cost!!!! And i can get forged pistons made by a company that use to be a Mahle factory in Argentina for £400 with the right size piston pin to fit. That will certainly help my little A20 and ET1 rev it's little socks off!!!

Oooh i'm getting all excited again.

    Engine build with:
    Forged pistons
    Titanium Con Rods
    Aluminium Flywheel
Clutchnet solid hub kevlar Disk and Red pressure plate
Big valve head with custom stainless steel 33mm inlet valves and 38mm exhaust valves
Custom inlet manifold with 6" runners
Twin Weber 45 DCOE's moddified with 100mm bellmouths
Custom Camshaft with 290 degree 11mm lift inlet 295 degree 12mm lift exhaust

Well Head is nearly done exhaust valves are awaiting to be turned, the gap infront of the inlet guides have been welded up, the exhuast ports have been moddified, the chambers flowed and polished, seats cut, valves profiled with my special finish, and then we have the inlet manifold with it's extra long 6" runners with tappered ends. Just waiting to see what the Camshaft guy reckons he can do with a re-profile on the original camshafts. Then need to build ablock that won't explode like a hand grenade being thrown into a bunker like the last engine did!!! This will be mental not sure whats going to win the B20A or the A20A it's going to be interesting year will post some pics on cardomain as soon as i get some. I reckon the B20A will just pip the A20A i reckoning on 230bhp for the A20A and 240-250 for the B20A we'll see all down to how my headwork designs go, might even bring the ET1 back to life still have one early ET block left although it needs a liner put in due to previous engine bowout damageing the bore badly. I really do like the ET1 head i still personally think it's the best 80's head that Honda designed.

CRS5394A3D is the stock part number for h-beam rods... given that the Ti rods appear to use the same dimensions, i think you should be good to use these rods, as long as you use the right pistons.

is 1100 really that much cheaper than what u normally can get them for? im excited to see your a20 finished up. should be awesome!

    Re: Titanium Rods

Certainly is a set of normal rods made over here would cost me that alone so if i can get titanium ones i'm laughing obviously Eagle normal rods are only $329 for a set so i have to seriously consider do i really need Titanium? We'll see waiting for a new job oppurtunity that will hopefully pull through which will hopefully give me some extra spending cash.

    Re: Titanium Rods

I always heard anything Ti is high price everywhere else because it has to be imported and that we are the only country that makes Ti because the process has something to do with nuclear. I dunno why and I prolly got that all worng but the machinist I apprenticed for used to say that. So i ma not surpirsed its way cheaper here.

    Re: Titanium Rods

Got the inlet manifold made, working on that at the moment, the head has the custom valves nearly done, i've gone for just the exhaust valves as i have 33mm inlet valves allready fitted. Been R&D ing on the inlet ports on A20 head, but still thinking about what to do with the pistons and rods, works been funny lately so have been looking hard for a new job. Will post some pics of inlet manifold there are pics on my cardomain site of both work done on B20A and my A20A.

    Re: Titanium Rods

if you must have every horsepower and lightest weight then the titanium rods are worth it but i stuck with my heavy ass crower rods for cost reasons, id say that its probably a good price though. Im dying to see pics of the headwork and dyno results, rich.
