what opening size is it for the speakers in the front doors? In my lx I have 6.5in but if you look online it says the opeing is 5 1/2in. I need to know for when my Lx-i coupe arrives next week.

it's 6.5... they may be a stock adapter ring that you would have to pull out to get the 6.5's to fit

It depends on what brand of speakers you are looking at. For example: Memphis 6.5s will fit perfectly but Planet Audio 6.5s are a little too big. 5.25s are too small. It is VERY difficult to find a decent speaker in a 6" or a 5.5". I run the Memphis Power Reference 6.5s in my car and love them.

i think 5.25's were stock up there though. i saw that online too somewhere.

Without a doubt 6.5" unless you have a BOSS system then there's a doubt...
