    Weight and Air vents

    Howdy,

    Got 2 questions:

    (1) How much does a stock 1988 Honda Accord LX weigh?

    (2) How do you make sticky air vents operate smoothly again?

    Mucho gracias!

take the air vents off...spray them with wd-40, let them sit for a couple minutes, put them in warm water let it sit for about 30 seconds, then dry them very thoroughly and use a lubricating oil (like ^ said) to make the arms and wheel run smoother...

the side ones are easy you just take a flat head and stick it in the bottom and then they will pop out...the centerones are harder...i broke mine(so be carefull) you have to wiggle it out sideways.

The side of the door only tells you the maximum allowable weight of the occupants. I'd like to know the overall weight of the vehicle. Just out
of curiosity, that's all. I'm guessing it's 3000 pounds without people.

How does junkyard work? Do you just go wander around til you find the car
you're looking for? I guess you would have to carry your tool box, right?
How do they keep people from stealing little things like bolts and knobs?
I guess also a buddy would probably make things alot easier.

i thought it was like 2600 and change...like right under 2700lbs. dry weight...

Junkyard:yes, u wonder around looking for the car ur looking for, they can't help people stealing little things, yeah u bring ur own tools, and a buddy would help a lot...like to help with something u need an extra hand with, or to watch for the undercover people who looks for people stealing lol

yeah i think the DX is like 2400 and the LX-i is like 2800....on my smog report it says curb weight 2850....but it showed it on both cars...i think they just take the bigger number....anyways to lose some weright you strip the interior and the truck.....when i did it i notice that my car was faster.
