well for carbs its 98hp@5800rpm and 112tq@4000rpm and for the fuel injected 86-87 its 110hp@5800rpm and for the 88-89 its 120@5800rpm and 122tq@4000rpm

remember the powerband will change a lot by the modification of the exaust and intake system. the main reason it runs out of horsepower is the horrible restriction of the exaust also the intake starts to set up standing waves in the intake box at a certain rpm. the air coming into the carb actually starts to set up waves just like the exaust pulses. thats why those tuned intakes work so well. they take advantage of this fact. this engine actualy had one of the best torque curves of any honda engine for years. there were more of them with more horsepower,but the torque coming on at low rpm is what moves you. bigger engine heavier rotating mass,more displacment=more torque. one of the secrets of the later engines 10 more horsepower was in the exaust manifold. it was redesigned for higher flow. I have one of those manifolds on my dx as a matter of fact.
my powerband on my modded accord was about 4500-6200rpm. Until the motor started to crap out, now its like 3500-4000 lmao
