No we don't want to put it into FAQ, they make garbage product's. I've seen them mentioned at other forums, and everytime is was someone complaining about how crappy their products were or how they were blown and they'd never buy them again. Plus I called them to get more info on their products and it was like talking to a wall, they didn't have a clue. Which explains a few things.Originally posted by 89NinjaAccordLX

I admire your spirit in posting this, but their is a ton of much more worthwhile stuff that need's to be corrected as well as added to the FAQ section.

Well it is truthfull fact, you can get them. But putting them their would be like a stamp of approval. Anyone can buy them if they choose to, but it's just not a good idea

yea ill stick with the groundcontrol coilovers from eibach
Well then the question "What coilovers are available for our cars" wouldn't be answered in the FAQ. Just because some people dont like them doesnt mean you have to deprive others from using them. In any case most people say that pacesetter headers are shitty... they're still located in the FAQ under "What headers are available for blah blah blah." The FAQ being a "stamp of approval" is a bit far fetched. Its a place to answer questions. Now, if the question was, "What are the best coilovers to get for my 89 POS..." then I can see leaving out this company.
Still, when people see that company listed in the FAQ, they will probably go and try and buy some. Jim would rather not have to tell people that even though the company is listed, they make shitty products.
Good bye to the 1989 DX Type R. Hello 2001 LX.

Who's depriving you from getting them? You want me to place the coilover equivalent of the "tornado supercharger" in FAQ. They are selling those things on the promise that they will give your lowered car, a stock car ride. That is not possible. By their own admission they use stiffer springs on them. And that same tech of theirs could not tell me if the struts are valved stiffer. I don't see the logic of refering people to such a product, let alone the ownership experiences I have read about. I have done a ton of research and I've driven under several brands of sturts and I can pretty much tell when a suspension product makes sense or not by talking to the tech's at that company that know the product. If you want to buy a set, no one is stopping you, I can only hope you would deliver a honest opinion. The FAQ is full of missing parts, yet I don't see you campaining for them, only this one. And I'd like to see you get a litespeed header that's listed in the FAQ. Not all struts are listed, and not all spirngs are listed either.Originally posted by 89NinjaAccordLX

In all honesty I dont care if it gets in or not lol. I do think that since so much is "missing" from the FAQ that you would jump for the chance to try to fill in some of those missing parts. The reason they're missing is because 1. you guys forgot or 2. the stuff isn't found yet. You want me to organize a group of people to go behind you and find all the things you left out of the FAQ? Uh, no. I really would, but I need to eat and sleep every once in a while. However when I came across this company, no matter how shitty it may be, I saw it wasn't in the FAQ when it would fit there. You're really quick to shut it down. And what are you talking about... the Tornado Supercharger adds like 322HP at the rear wheels. If the company isn't put in the FAQ I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it LoL.
there is a difference between what is available, and what is available and worthwhile. personally I like to see a master list of what is available and then commentary on what is worthwhile. It's not a matter of endorsing trash products, just a listing of what exists for 3 geez cars and then letting the buyer make decisions of if to go with a certain product. At some point new companies/products with are untested will emerge and somebody will have to bite to give it a go. My 2 cents.
I haven't spend the last 2 years doing research for our cars and have learned a few things along the way. People have disregarded my advise only to find they waisted their time and money. I don't see the sense of listing a product saying here ya go you can get these only to have to tell people how they really are. I'm gonna get a bunch of people who are then gonna say "then why is it listed in the FAQ". I have spend enough time, without complaint, endlessly helping the members of this board avoid the same problems I encountered in making the wrong choices with my suspension. I don't have a problem listing the coilover by itself, it's their strut that gives me the problem. Considering this, it's cheaper to equip them with Koni's, and have a suprior ride and drive. ($520 vs $560. $650 if you have the front Koni's shortned.)

Jim,
More than anybody body else, this board or otherwise, you have helped me to decide what is quality and suitable for what I want to do. Just wanted to let you know that.
Thanks doug![]()
Ya know I've been thinking about this for the last couple of hours and I think I've got an idea on how I can take care of my issue's and the issue of listing everything. But I want to do it right so it's not going to happen overnight, it'll take some time to do.
