    17"'s

hey all i have just put 17" rims with 214/45/ series tires on in the rear and when i turn a hard right i hear it rubbing on the rear left. any ideas how to get rid of this problem. i dont wanna sell those wheels yet i had em on my escort and let my brother use the car" just this one time" he smashed a curb and am now awaiting a new one from factory( too damaged to fix) i guess i can make a chair out of it...or something..lol

you got to see if its hiting the fender. and then pull out the lip of the fender just a bit. yeah that tires is big for the car the recomended size is 205/40/17

i had the same problem when i had 17"s on mine, i had the same tire size aswell, i ended up selling my rims before getting smaller tires, but you could try roleing the fender a bit or just get new tires,

    Re: 17"'s

i found 215's to be just a tad bit too much. i had to go with a 205/40/70 for clearance.
