tail llights

how much different are the tail lights on the 88coupe to like the 90-91 coupe tails?

wellll theyre pretty close, i believe theres going to be a big gap on the center ones a small one on the outside. also the mounting points are going to be different. i think its been done before, it was a while ago though. so if you search it youll find it

does anyone know if they ever made the original crystal clear tails for our cars?

i dotn think so they make the red and white ones but only the outside really i would etaher smoke them or leave them

you can also make custom clears. theres 2 diffrent ways i belive, 1 way you need some tails from japan since they were built diffrent, they have it in the how to section then another way is to break out the old tail covers and add new clear plastic, heres a website on how to do that http://www.b20accord.com/clear.html

personally .. ive been on honda-tech alot , and looked at other hondas , no offence , but aftermarket tails ( altezzas ) make a car look cheap, if thats what you like cool , cause modding a car is about personality, but JDM and stuff like htat looks better in my opinion

stock body parts look best some jdm parts just look gay, imo. like the taillights i dont like the jdm ones

me .. i like the flip ups head lights opposed to the peices. i would like to see someone do it with the jdm type -r headlights.... might look good. but stock awalys looks best , clean and simple , a little change from a jdm peice may make it look a little different and too much of a change makes it look gay

yeah i agree alteezas look like shi#t, im thinking of going th e the local jyard and getting a set of oem tails and trying to do the clear thing, that way if i mess em up it wont matter. i like the original looks of our cars. jdm is ok also. i wont do anything outragous to her im not like that..

i think the only ones you can clear are the JDM ones since they have like tint over the lenz ....plus the jy charged me 16 bucks for one...i was pissed since that is hella money for a light...well yeah dont waste your money at the jy just give it the smoked look

I still haven't to uploaded pics of the finished product... but you use USDM insides and JDM lense. so you don't really take much from the JDM lights.

it only works for sedans though.



You can always paint or tint the diffuser lenses to make red/clear combo. Or paint the main lense but don't paint the outside of the lense though cause it will be crappy. you want the outside of the lense itself to be the clear and able to be buffed/polished.
