    Angry rust

look what i just found while preparing car for wof :@

and after i knocked out the loose shit:

now how can i fix that? i know body filler aint gonna work, and were i got metal putty dont sell it anymore i could try my last trick (which didnt work to well) which was put something behind the metal, glue it there some how and put body filler over that o.O and also how do i remove that window surrounding thingy? i had to just bend it up its like superglued there and i cant pry it off cause the wiper is in the way, even when i took the wiper off, the squirter and wiper thing was still in the way. and cause i dont wanna chip the window i don't care if its a shitty job, as long as its unseen and protected from water getting in there

    Re: rust

This will sound cheesy, but I had a old VW Bug a long time ago with a lot of rust, we took a soda can cut it open and rivited a piece down where the rust spot was and then used bondo over that, not the best way to fix it but at the time it was cheap and easy thing to do

    Re: rust

all thats left now is filing it down and maybe painting it, i wont if the seal covers it, just a waste of paint then, plus it would look rather ugly since i refuse to pay $3.50 for 1 piece of sand paper :@ as long as the old blind-ish wof man is there to inspect the car it should be good as long as they dont discover the fat hole in the floor :S

    Re: rust

yeah its a saftey inspection, unless its one of them dodgy places which let you get away with a un-safe car but ya needa new wof as soon as you get cought without one, or as soon as it expires, which ever pleases you on these old cars i think they last about 5 months or so

    Re: rust

    WoF - Warrant of fitness

Cars under 6 years old have to go for a WoF Check every 12 months. Cars over 6 years old have to go for it every 6 months.

A lot of Garages can issue WoFs, but there are also more offical places that issue them for a job. With these you dont have to book, you just rock on up there and wait in line.

The inspectors have a checksheet to go through on all the important aspects of the operation of the car. Then if nothing is wrong, or after faults are fixed and a recheck is done, the WoF sticker is placed on the top right hand corner of the windscreen:
    Outside VVV

    Inside ^^^

Yes i was bored and waiting to go out.....
