    Maximum Wheel Offset?

Does anyone know the maximum wheel offset that would be reasonable for 16 x 6.5 wheels with Tokico HPs and HR Sport springs?

The wheel that I want to get has an offset of 55, and I know 3geez's are around 45 if I'm not mistaken, would this be too large of an offset?

    Thanks in advance.

yeah my fat fives are 45...but they are a 15 inch rim...they work good. my tire of choice is 195-60-15 since they are cheap.

    Re: Maximum Wheel Offset?

Yeah, I read the sticky...but I wasn't sure if 10mm really made that much of a difference with offset on 3geez.

So a 16" wheel w/ a 55mm offset will not work at all?

    Re: Maximum Wheel Offset?

I'd say give it a try, it may not work though, could have issues clearing the upper part of the knuckle assembly, but if you stick with a 195 or narrower tire I cant see how it would be a problem at all.

Odd ofset though is that the fit wheels?

    Re: Maximum Wheel Offset?

Yeah, supposedly it's a "Fit specific" offset. I've seen a set on a 95 civic sedan and he said that the ride is fine. Wouldn't the extra offset push the wheel further out and not create that much probs?

    Re: Maximum Wheel Offset?

No i higher offset will sit the wheel further in. You could always get a small spacer if need be,

    Re: Maximum Wheel Offset?

Oh, it'll sit it further in? Looks like I had it backwards.. Anyhoo, damnit, I wish someone on here could test this for me, haha. And I'm not sure if I'd do spacers, I don't know how reliable they really are nor have I worked w/ them a great deal...hmm.

    Re: Maximum Wheel Offset?

Yup he is right. greater the offset, the deeper the wheel will be in the wheel well. The offset is the distance between the centerline of the face of the hub to the center of the rim, so lower offset and 0mm offset rims have a real nice big lip, while higher positive offset rims are flater looking. just watch out for the rubbing issues u might encounter with that kinda offset, only a trial and error method will tell you for sure.

    Re: Maximum Wheel Offset?

Eh, they sound to risky for $640 bucks. I can't return them if I mount them...I better stick to GSRs.

    Re: Maximum Wheel Offset?

^^ I dont see why they wouldn't fit... I have seen lots of fairly low offset wheels on fits.

Yes, definitely was considering the Fit HFPs for a long while. But the price, and the unusual offset has since calmed me down. However, if I found them for a STEAL price, I'd buy them.

It's all dependent on condition. I'm only purchasing GSRs if they're close to flawless. Clearcoat still very well kept, literally zero scratches, and no bending what so ever. PM me some pictures!
