Optional Expansion switch hole

Is it me or #24 is an optional expansion switch hole for our cars?

It looks like it clips at the bottom of the cassette holder for the heated seats.

Could be.

However, the #2 assembly is only listed for cars with heated seats. That's why I think it's for the heated seats. At least, one of the console switch might be relocated there to allow 2 seat switches in the center console.
