    venom pcm/electric supercharger?

ok ive researched performance chips on this forum like 2mins ago. some say u cant do it, u wont get any gains, but i heard venom makes a performance control module. does anybody have that on their car? my car's pretty fun right now but i need some more power. im not goin w/nitrous, or a turbo, ill prolly only have the car for about a year--and i needa keep it stealthy too, no 6" coffee cans for me. if anyone could clarify whether a venom pcm can be used on a 3rd gen lxi 5speed, or suggest somethin that can improve power w/out excess stress on the engine or excess money spendage. im also lookin at an electric supercharger right now, and it seems appealin for an extra kick at WOT. suggestions?
    thanks,

I heard all it does is fool the ecu into thinking the throttle is more opened than what it actually is so it will dump more fuel. I think its been discussed somewhere before I just dont remember what was the name of the thread.

yeah im with Guanabo89....anyways just do the 4g Map sensor...it make the car think its a 2.2L so it sprays a lil more gas ....search for it.

probably not horribly rich conditions, but you'll atleast notice it somewhat.

You could unplug the full pressure regulator and try that its free. Makes it run a little richer.

i didnt notice a power gain messing with fuel much at all. It might help you a little but youre better off doing other mods first then it might give you a considerable gain

Sure, it'll work great! Why not get one of them "Vornados" while you're at it?

If you're only going to have this car for a year, save your money and put it into the new car, you'll be glad you did.

Of course I'm lazy. If I wanted to work on my car I'd have gotten a DSM

No the elec. super charger is legit but it can't be on all the time it pulls to much juice. I think when the 36 volt car systems come on line in the next few years they will get to be more popular in the OEM market. I'd imagine theyll use them for full throttle use to start with.

The elecrtic superchargers are set up with a switch that activate when you are at full throtle. You can make a home made one easy, all you need is a high power fan ( electric boat motor would probly work the best.) hook it up to a switch on your throtle linkage so when your at WOT it ingages

    Re: venom pcm/electric supercharger?

It's that crappy boat ventilation fan that some jackass is selling on eBay and touting it as a "supercharger".

you would be better off getting an electric Toro Leaf blower and hooking it up to your intake LOL. I had a pic of one on a car somewhere, can't remember where I saved it. Funny as hell.

Save your money for the new car. Unless you are ready to spend some on this car, you wont get any worthwhile gains from an electric vent fan turned supercharger or messing with sensors. Just enjoy it while you got it and wait to put the cool stuff on the new car.

Remember, for the most part, HP doesn't come cheap.....

electric superchargers are mostly a joke, some of them dont spin fast enough and the air being pulled in by the engine makes it spin faster, so technically it can "generate" power. id never waste money on one. Centrifugal/roots > electric
