i have masking tape just no newspaper
do they not sell them in ridgecrest or what? they're like 50cents or less.. a lot cheaper than paint thinner and it's a lot easier to do it right the 1st time than go back and try to remove the paint later

i hate to be negative but it'd suck if you do all this work and end up not really improving the look of the car :\

first of all,one word,RESIZE!! COULD YOU HAVE POSSIBLY MADE THEM ANY BIGGER!! and second,it's not about time or money or resources,it's about being too lazy to take the time and do something right. you couldn't get newspaper? you bought primer, and tape, but you couldn't find some newspaper, you aren't supposed to use it anyway, but it would have been better then painting your windows. I'm sure someone would have given you some extra newspaper. you aren't going to able to spray over that crap primer,it'll get more puckers in it then rosannes ass. you have dents and scrapes all over your car. did you even clean the car before you sprayed that primer? look at the dirt in the back window. I could understand if you made a real effort to do this right, but you are making a big deal out of spraying some cheap rattle can primer over a mess. there are a lot of things you could done better if you would have just taken the time. even if you were broke. this is an insult to those of us worked really hard on our cars, even those without resources who at least made an effort to do a decent job. if you were out there busting your ass I would say good job,but you like to do things the easy way,not the right way. as far as paint,no one is going to paint your car for free, buddy, just like no one is going to paint my car for free but me. don't tell me you didn't have the time to do it right eithier, you don't even have a job,I work all day, then go to school at night and work on my car. ok rant over.

amen to that. try improving ur taping techniques and use plenty of spare news paper, i usually use 2 layers , but for rattle cans one layer of newspaper is fine. lol looks like yah struck a nerve with lost.... i agree you wont find anyone to paint ur car for free unless ita a friend or something. and i also agree with lost that rattle can primer isnt the way to go, it doesnt fill any scratches and many paints out there "lift" the primer off the car and causes many many problems. i give yah props for trying to get the work done, just do a little homework before had and you can avoid alot of problems later on. def use laquer thinner on the rear window but dont let it get on the mouldings, or at least keep contact with the laquer minimal. and typically before primer you would want to get most of the body work done on each pannel first, i see yah got a few bigger dents in the rear door. good luck man

if you had tried, you would have taken some time and gone and found some newspaper and spent a half an hour or so coving the glass. there is no reason to get primer all over the glass,no reason at all. you can do a better job then you are,my wife is more then twice your age,she is in pain everyday because of her back and her arm,but she goes to school two nights a week and does this stuff, and she does a good job of it,now at your age,why can't you take the time and be careful what you do,and do it right? if she can get a's in autobody class with a disability, why can't you take the time and do what you are doing right?
