    $1200?

You'd best find yourself another source. I think that's a bit pricy.

Looks good. Those are some cheap parts you can get from the junkyard.

P.S. You could have talked to a mod and got him to delete the posts that did not pertain to the topic.

Yeah that's unbelievable. My 3G has receipts for the cambelt (but no water pump) and it came to NZ$250 which is like under US$200.

Even my Torneo, which had cambelt, waterpump, auto tensioner, balancer shaft belt and some other tensioner or bearing thing replaced (all parts to suit a H22A) came to just under US$500. That includes 3.5 hours labour.

I'll do it for a 12-pack + parts. You would have to drive to Tucson though. If you have an impact wrench the job is easy, like 45 to an hour tops.

    Re: CivicAccordHonda's Update Thread!

Mine was like $260, the cheap ones usually won't do the job, but you could probably rent one. There isn't too much to break in there, just make sure it all goes together as it came out. Timing marks need to be triple checked and the correct procedure needs to be followed for tensioning. $20-$30 for the belt and the same for the tensioner. If you want to replace the water pump it's like $35. The water pump can be done separately, as it is not driven by the timing belt on our vehicles.

Get a new valve cover gasket when you get the belt. You have to loosen the VC anyway, and they can be had for around $10. If you are feeling adventurous, you could do a valve adjustment while the VC is off. All you need is a set of feeler gauges, a 12 mm wrench, and a flathead. You should borrow a timing light and check the timing.

yeah i am thinking about checing the timing but for now the main things are Valve Cover gasket, and drive belt thing in a few months when my step dad gets a newer car i will replace the timing belt (he has untel AUG to get a newer car or my mom will kick his ass lol and it has to be 2000 or newer lol)
