ya hes right just cutting it dosent make it shift any better but mine is a little more stiff then stock due to not enouight leverage but i couldent stand the mile high stock size

    Do yu have the paceseter?

I have the same problem with mine and its a pacesetter. It sits where I want it to and the distance between shifts is alot shorter but its lost its leverage so its a little harder to shift. Gonna have to find a way to fix it to cause its getting old already.

i know what this is, have you ever kinda hit the shifter down?? try and you should hear it hit against the heat shield. thats what was making mine hard, i cut the heat shield and now its smooth. but im going to adjust it a little more so it can be shorter.

    Re: Short throw shifter

i used to have short shifter. had it for less than a week. didn't like it. I like the feel of stock shifter. IMO honda has small shifts from the factory. Plus a lot of honda transmissions don't like short shifters because they are build very tight.

You get used to it. It may be time for new tranny oil though. Four parts synth to 1 part Lucas oil stabilizer = smooth as butter.

    Re: Short throw shifter

no my heat shied is cut to make room for the shifter and it has fresh mtf. With the pacesetter you just loose leverage when you bring it down there fore making it take more effort to shift than stock.
