    Re: injector seals

Just remove the clips from injectors then remove the four bolts that hold the fuel rail down. Pull the fuel rail up away from the intake manni and then pull the injectors out and replace the seals. Then reinstall the reverse of the removal. You may need to twist the injectors a little to get them to come out.

    Re: injector seals

It's common for the seam between the metal and plastic parts on the injector itself to be the source of the leak. Replacing the external seals may not solve the problem.

    Re: injector seals

Did a better search and realized I most likely need to replace the injectors. When doing so - ANything special I should be ware of.

Sorry to jump in but if the seam is the issue - what needs to be done.

I ask since I had all four replaced in 09/05 and the number 4 injector (I think is still leaking).

    Thanks

    Re: injector seals

When I did my seals the torque of the nuts that hold the fuel rail down is critical. On first try I just tightened it all up pressurized the system and got two pretty big leaks. I think the torque is like 10 ft/lbs but look it up and always check for leaks before driving.

And yeah its my injectors that are leaking.

once the seam leaks your injector needs to be replaced.

Definately the injectors... go to a pick and pull type of place and grab a set.

I just followed the instructions from the FSM on www.pauldesign.ru ... Paul did us a great thing uploading it to his site.

Just find the section for the fuel system, and download the file... gives you very very easy step by step instructions.

I have a leak in one of mine also. What other models have injectors that I can use on my 89 LXi? I work at a Honda junk yard but we do not have a whole lot of pre-90 cars.

I think that's pretty much it. Maybe quality but I don't know much about either company other than beck is a pretty big in aftermarket replacement parts.

FYI I checked Hollander and according to it(but it isn't always accurate) the following injectors interchange with my 89 Fed LX-i:

    Integra 86-89
    Integra 90-91 Fed.
    CRX Si 88-91 Fed
    Prelude 88-91 Fed
