WTF? not going into 4th...?

i have an '88 accord lxi 5speed and above about 45-50mph it will NOT shift into 4th gear. it doesnt grind, but it wont budge from the neutral position? am i hitting the gate, or is it something more serious...? help me please cuz i loved this car and had some stuff planned for it so i hope the tranny wont fuck me over.

all that racing mest it up....so even when you are parked it wont go into 4th...it must be the syncs...

i doubt it was the syncs, maybe i was just hitting the gate...cuz it goes into fourth fine in park and pretty much any speed lower than 50 mph...i just have to be mindful about my shifting into 4th now i think

have you checked you oil level?

Fill the oil, if you syncros are blown clutch twice before putting it in.

If you can look at your shifter torque rod bushings. When mine got kinda old and soft I had trouble getting into 4th when the car was torqued up. The ploy crx kits work in our car.
